 This page and probably many to follow will contain problems within Paintshop Pro and quick fix me's.
Problem 1 A few days ago I wanted to use one of my preshaped hearts in Paintshop Pro. But for some reason they did'nt load like they always had in the past. I tried just about everything aside from deleting paintshop pro. Finally I remembered some one had mentioned something a while back about the cache is paintshop pro. The following is what I did to fix the problem.
Step 1 I followed this path C:\Program Files\Jasc Software Inc\Paint Shop Pro 7\Cache to the cache folder within paintshop pros directory. Step 2 I then copied and pasted the shapes cache file to my desktop to be sure if I did need it I could put it back. Step 3 I then opened Paintshop pro, waited for all my plugins to load then clicked on a new canvas so that all my icons would light up. Step 4 I then clicked on the preshaped tools option and let the shapes load. Step 5 I then checked to see if the hearts were there and they were. Then I was able to delete the cache file off my desktop. The problem was fixed. The point to this mini tutorial is to help those who run into a problem with something not loading properly. Remember everything goes into a cache file for later use but sometimes it may become corrupted and you may have to delete the original file. Paintshop pro only allows for the cache file to be a certain size and when you exceed that size it may act funny as mine did.
